Challenge

EHLION operates on an international level, receiving and fulfilling requests from individuals and companies all over the world. Requests received have very tight deadlines, and require juggling translators, reviewers and quality assurance personnel. On top of that, most of the requests handled are highly confidential and private. Not directly related to the client, EHLION also aimed at decreasing its environmental impact, setting an example for larger organisations that have yet to do so.

The considerable growth of EHLION over the past two decades required an in-depth management system based on ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 27001:2013 to monitor and measure aspects related to quality, the environment and information security respectively.

Approach

EHLION is a relatively small organisation which was taking on a very large project in a short period of time. STEP ensured that all the time spent with the client gathering information relevant to all three standards was spent efficiently.

STEP was able to acquire all the relevant and valuable information from all levels within the organisation, to use to build the Quality, Environmental and Information Management Systems called upon by the desired standards.

Outcome

EHLION was ISO certified in all three standards within a year of initially contacting STEP. An external audit was held by Bureau Veritas, which confirmed that EHLION was in conformity with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 27001:2013

EHLION and STEP maintain a close relationship through the use of Quarterly Meetings to ensure all EHLIONs management systems are kept up to date and do not stray from the quality, environmental and information security standards that have been achieved together.
