Challenge

As The Concept Stadium aspired to venture beyond Malta in terms of its business development, an ISO certification proved to be pivotal in ensuring that the process-based approach of the Company is harmonised and improved-upon.

Structuring the organisation in a way which simultaneously makes it scalable, was one of the clearly defined goals when going for the ISO 9001 certification. The primary KPI was aspiring for increased Customer-Satisfaction as one of The Concept Stadium’s Quality Objectives.

Approach

The Concept Stadium has been using the services of STEP since their decision to go for an ISO Certification. The team at STEP have assisted the Company in ensuring that its Quality Management System is well-geared not only towards ongoing-certification but also at every operational level to ensure they continue offering a value-added level of service to their clients. The approach from the Company followed the following milestones: VISION > STRATEGY > OBJECTIVES > PROCESS.

In turn, The Concept Stadium management team ensured that whilst following the standard, the company remained true to its values of being boutique, scalable and responsive, without adding unnecessary layers of bureaucracy.

Outcome

The certification was achieved after a thorough 8-month implementation process and internal audit in 2016, and renewed annually; which included the streamlining of all operations, from client acquisition and acceptance, to project briefs, idea generation, conceptualisation, design, execution and billing amongst other administrative processes. The ISO certification is not a one-time-gig for The Concept Stadium. The standard comes with a mandatory yearly audit which helped them remain in check and manifest their commitment to efficiency, which ultimately benefits the most important stakeholder, their client.

Stefan and his team provide invaluable assistance to The Concept Stadium, particularly during the annual Intenal Audit, which is more structured as a brainstorming session as to how we can improve our processes further. Being quality-oriented is testimony to such sessions and STEP’s input during the last 5 years.
